In February 2004, Larry Stockett was arrested in Costa Rica and charged with securities fraud.  He was extradicted to the US and brought to trial in December of 2005.  According to Larry, he was wrongfully convicted and excessively sentenced to 12 years in prison for a crime that he claims he was the victim.  No one has ever told his side of the story.  His court appointed attorney refused to put on a defense at trial.   Upon release from prison, after serving 10 years, Mr. Stockett retained an attorney to write an opinion of counsel as to whether he received a fair trial, a fair sentence, and to whether he as in innocent of all charges.  The attorney stated that had the jury seen the evidence which his public defender failed to even open from it's sealed package delivered by Stockett's previous attorney, the outcome of the trial would most likely have been completely different.
