1ST nEW YORK CITY DRONE FILM FESTIVAL
The #NYCDFF WAS the world's first event exclusively dedicated to celebrating the art of drone cinematography. In it’s inaugural year (2015) it received over 150 submissions from 19 countries. The event sold out in five days, attracted 31 sponsors across 10 different industries, including headline sponsor NBC News, and received over 270 million media impressions. The festival offers an international platform for filmmakers from every corner of the globe to exhibit their work in front of industry professionals and the drone cinema fan community.
2ND NEW YORK CITY DRONE FILM FESTIVAL
The 2nd Annual New York City Drone Film Festival will be held from March 4th - March 6th 2016. The three-day event will feature a dynamic slate of interactive panel discussions, guest speakers, screenings of nominated films and the annual awards ceremony. The festival will return to the Directors Guild of America Theater for the second year in a row.
“Just as drones have become more technically advanced and integrated into society, the NYC Drone Film Festival has experienced a year of tremendous growth,” said Festival Founder and Director Randy Scott Slavin. “We’ve expanded from a one-night event to a three-day happening. We’re holding interactive panels and seminars highlighting the influence of drones around the world. And we’ve expanded our award categories from nine to eleven. The 2016 festival is going to be bigger and bolder in every way.”

tHE lAS vEGAS dRONE FESTIVAL IS an outdoor summer festival in the planning stages since September 2015. proposals have been made to multiple SPONSORS FOR THE LARGEST COMMUNITY EVENT EVER PROPOSED FOR THE new cRAIG rANCH rEGIONAL pARK IN NORTH LAS VEGAS.
THE dates, times and specific activities to be included at the festival will be dependent on participation by the parks and recreation department of north las vegas and the sponsors agreeing to participate.
The OUTDOOR activities proposed combine the features of an affordable (potentially free) music festival, drone races and drone exhibitions AND a NIGHTTIME LIVE drone video awards show with celebrity awards presenters.
The festival has been proposed to INCLUDE outdoor FPV DRONE RACING in CONJUNCTION WITH the first ever DRONE VIDEO and drone film festival AWARDS SHOW.
tHE new 170 acre, $150 million PARK WAS FORMERLY A PUBLIC GOLF COURSE. iT HAS THREE LAKES AND 6,000 TREES, dog parks, community gardens, multiple pavillions and kid's play areas and more. iT'S 3,000 CAPACITY AMPHITHEATER OPENED IN oCTOBER 2015. It IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL OUTDOOR CONCERT AND FESTIVAL VENUE IN lAS vEGAS. iT ALSO HAS THE WORLD'S SECOND LARGEST SKATE PARK AND BMX BIKE PARK,
THE LAS VEGAS DRONE FESTIVAL HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CREATE A NEW PARADIGM STRATEGY FOR OUTDOOR SUMMER FESTIVALS OF ALL TYPES and put the city of north las vegas on the map for summer festivals.
tHE PUBLIC WILL BE ABLE TO WATCH and vote live on THE TOP DRONE VIDEOS with the most internet views. WINNing rounds OF THE FPV DRONE RACES AND LASER TAG COMPETITIONS will be shown LIVE ON THE LARGE AMPHITHEATER SCREEN and other video screen lotated in the 9 outdoor pavillions around the park. tHEY WILL ALSO BE STREAMED LIVE OVER THE INTERNET SO NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE IN THE PARK OR AMPHITHEATER (OR AT HOME) YOU CAN WATCH THIS AMAZING NEW FESTIVAL AS IT OCCURS. Craig Ranch Regional Park Amphitheater Grand Opening Concerts, October 9-10, 2015
The City of North Las Vegas hosted the grand opening of the Craig Ranch Regional Park in October, 2015 with a series of four concerts. They wanted the concerts to be affordable for the local community and only charged $25 for amphitheater seats for each night's events.
